Adani eyes iron ore, alumina investment in Odisha
The Adani Group will invest INR 57,575 crore ($7.22 billion) to set up a 4 million tonnes/year integrated alumina refinery and a 30m t/y iron ore project in Odisha, India.
The alumina refinery will be set up in the vicinity of potential bauxite reserves or operational mines and will produce smelter grade (metallurgical grade) alumina. The company says the project will help India move towards import substitution, Kallanish notes.
