Turkish scrap market activity remains lulled amid uncertainty
The Turkish scrap market has had a very poor start to the week amid uncertainty persisting in the market.
No bookings have been heard so far this week, with Turkish mills putting increasing pressure on scrap prices.
A supplier tells Kallanish: “The market sentiment is very weak. Turkish mills are expressing their price targets at below $350/tonne for premium HMS 1&2 80:20. However, there are no suppliers to accept this level today.”
