Acindar’s stoppage impacts Argentina's June primary iron production
Argentinian primary iron output decreased month-on-month in June. Production was also weaker year-on-year, Kallanish learns from the Argentinian steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA).
The decrease is mainly attributed to Acindar's production stoppage between 17 June and 8 July (see Kallanish 15 July).
Primary iron output was 231,900 tonnes in June, down 6.9% from May and lower by 56,900t, or 19.7%, compared with June 2023.
