Abul Khair Steel to expand galvanising capacity
Abul Khair Steel (AKS) has contracted Danieli to supply a continuous galvalume line for its Chittagong-based Abul Khair Strip Processing division, Kallanish learns from the Italian technology supplier.
The line will produce up to 200,000 tonne/year of 0.12-1mm thick and 1,350mm wide hot-dip galvanized coil for construction applications and, in future, white goods. The line will be able to process CQ and FH grades, at a maximum capacity of 40 t/hour.
