ABS integrates vertically with scrap firm purchase
Acciaierie Bertoli Safau (ABS), part of Italian equipment maker Danieli, has completed the purchase of scrap company Rott-Ferr. The merger is in line with ABS’s strategy to verticalise and strengthen its production cycle, Kallanish learns from the company.
With Rott-Ferr, ABS will shorten its supply chain and ensure a constant domestic scrap supply. The scrap firm has an annual scrap collection capacity of approximately 100,000 tonnes.
