Abinsk expands sales market with new wire rod
Abinsk Electric Steelworks (AEMZ), part of Russia’s Novostal-M, has begun production for the local market of a new type of wire rod with a diameter of 5mm, Kallanish notes. AEMZ has thus become the first Russian producer of this rod dimension, it says.
This is an opportunity for its customers to reduce the number of cycles in the production of smaller-diameter wire, as well as the cost of electricity and consumables, the company says.
