Zhanjiang looks to start production in September
Baosteel’s Zhanjiang steelworks project is to blow in its first blast furnace in September 2015, local media reports. The 8.9 million tonnes/year greenfield steelworks is one of the largest ongoing steelworks developments globally in an overcrowded sector, Kallanish observes.
Baosteel has previously said that it expects to produce some 800,000 tonnes of slab in the fourth quarter of 2015 from the new plant in southern China’s Guangdong province. …
