Ukraine's Yenakiieve relaunches billet production
Ukraine’s Metinvest relaunched billet production on 20 March at its war-stricken Yenakiieve subsidiary (EMZ), after relighting one blast furnace (BF) and blowing in a second, the company tells Kallanish. EMZ's hot-end had been at a standstill for over a month to carry out various upgrades to boost capacity at the sinter plant, casting, and lime kilns.
