Xinjiang commissions first H-beam capacity
Xinjiang Jufeng Metal Products in China’s north western Xinjiang officially commissioned the region’s first universal rolling mill to produce H-beams, I-beams and angles on 7 October. The mill, which ultimately reports to eastern China’s Baosteel, is filling a capacity gap in a region which has seen massive over-investment in steelmaking over the last five years, Kallanish notes.
