Xinjiang Bayi halts production on oversupply
Western China’s Xinjiang Bayi Iron and Steel, part of Baosteel Group, has said it halted production at its Baicheng plant on 31 July because of oversupply. The plant struggled to produce at capacity because of the oversupplied local market even before the current downturn, Kallanish notes.
