Wugang to get new chairman as steel turns political
The board of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Wugang) has recommended that Ma Guoqiang take over as chairman of the Shanghai-listed firm after previous chairman Deng Qilin was revealed to be under investigation by anti-corruption authorities.
The announcement has further stoked rumours of a merger between Wugang and Baosteel and whatever the endgame, politics will play a large part, Kallanish notes.
