Vallourec wins nuclear reactor tube contract in China

French steel tube producer Vallourec has won a contract to supply tubes for two Chinese nuclear reactors. The order has been won through its subsidiary company Valinox Nucléaire based in Montbard, France, the tubemaker confirms. The power generation sector represented 10% of the company’s sales in 2013, Kallanish notes. The reactors, Fuqing 5 and 6, are in Fujian province, Vallourec says.
