Vale pushes on with Carajs expansion
Brazil’s Vale has obtained an operating licence to expand its N4WS mine located in Carajás, Brazil, the iron ore miner tells Kallanish.
The license was issued by the Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Naturais Renováveis (IBAMA) on November 5, 2014. The next steps are to obtain the authorisation for vegetal suppression from IBAMA and to develop the mine immediately after this authorisation.
