Ukrainian output falls by 40% and more
Ukraine’s output of steel and associated products has fallen to 57-60% of levels recorded in May 2014 as the industry feels the impact of fighting in the key steelmaking areas of Donetsk and Lugansk, reports Ukrainian Metallurgprom.
The association reports that average daily production rates for the first eleven days of August were 48,900 tonnes for pig iron, 54,800t for steel, and 45,100t for finished products.
