Ukraine steel output down sharply in January-July
Ukrainian association Metallurgprom has reported a decrease in domestic steel production for the period January-July, Kallanish learns.
Crude steel production in the seven months decreased by -27% year-on-year to 1.8 million tonnes. Coke production went down by -36% to 9.8mt, pig iron decreased by -28% to 1.7mt and rolled products output dropped by -27% to 1.6mt.
