Ferrexpo, Ukraine holds pellet steady in '14, until energy cuts hit in December
While Ukraine’s Ferrexpo notes that pellet production for the eleven months to end-November has increased 3% year-on-year, volumes for December will be noticeably lower because of reduced energy supplies. By contrast, the Swiss-headquartered group notes y-on-y growth or 12% last year for 2013, when it produced 10.8 million tonnes/year of pellet. This makes it the world’s fifth largest supplier, and the number one CIS exporter, it claims.
