Weekly steel output falls in US to two-month low

Weekly crude steel production and capability utilisation declined in the US during the week ending 29 August 2015. Production fell noticeably in the North East region of the country, according to the latest data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). US mills produced -2.2% decline from the week prior and the lowest weekly production since the beginning of July. Mills operated at 71.2% of capability, down -1.7 percentage points week-on-week.
