US weekly steel output, capability utilisation both creep upwards
US crude steel weekly production and capability utilisation crept up year-on-year in the week-ending 8 November, the latest figures released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) show. Year-to-date output remains almost flat compared to that in 2013, but this weekly uptick means that total 2014 output may still beat that for 2013 but only just, Kallanish notes.
