US weekly raw steel output continues to fall

The year-on-year fall in US weekly raw steel output continued in week-ending 23 May 2015. Data released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) and monitored by Kallanish, show that the rate of fall in output appears to be decelerating. Capability utilisation also fell y-o-y for the 17th week in a row but the rate of fall for this performance measure is also slowing.
