US weekly crude steel output rises again year-on-year
US crude steel weekly production and capability utilisation both rose again year-on-year in the week-ending 15 November, the latest figures released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) show. It now appears that, barring an exceptional fall-away, 2014 U.S. crude steel production will be between 0 and 1% higher than that for 2013, Kallanish notes.
