US steel sector asks Commerce to cut nail imports
The US department of commerce (Commerce) says that it has initiated antidumping duty and countervailing duty investigations of imports of “…certain…” steel nails from eight countries including India, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan and Turkey. This is the latest example of a front-foot approach by the US steel sector as it sees steel imports increasing strongly during the first half of 2014
