US steel industry applauds passage of trade remedy legislation
After being approved by the US Congress last week (Kallanish, 26 June 2015), a trade package strongly advocated by the American steel industry has been signed into law by US President Barack Obama.
The trade package includes Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) and an extension of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act and other trade preference programs, which includes the renewal of Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) and trade remedy improvements.
