US steel imports rise after several months of declines

After five consecutive months of declines, US steel imports picked back up from June to July, according to the latest data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). The estimated import market share remained at a recent low. A preliminary import count shows 3,243,000 net tons of steel products were imported during the month of July, AISI reports.
