US steel exports fall to recent low in April

US steel exports fell to a recent low of 766,000 tonnes in April. This was a -5.7% decline from the prior month and a -22% drop from April 2014, according to US government data analysed by Kallanish. Exports to major trading partners Canada and Mexico declined both month-on-month and year-on-year. Shipments to Canada of 426,300 tonnes were down -4% and -27%, respectively.
