US service centre shipments fall in January as steel inventories increase
Shipments from steel service centres in North America decreased and steel inventories increased in January according to information released by the Illinois-based Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI), monitored by Kallanish.
In January 2015, U.S. service centre steel shipments decreased by -3.4% from January 2014. Steel product inventories meanwhile increased by 16.4% using the same comparison, MSCI says.
