US raw steel production rises week-on-week, falls year-on-year
US weekly raw steel production rose 2.2% week on week but fell -0.8% year on year, according to the latest report by the American Iron and Steel Institute.
In the week ended September 5, US raw steel production hit 1.74 million net tons at 72.8% capability utilisation, up from about 1.70m nt at a capability utilisation rate of 71.2% last week.
