US raw steel output falls year-on-year for 18th successive week
The year-on-year fall in US weekly raw steel output continued in week-ending 30 May 2015. Data released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) and monitored by Kallanish, show that the rate of fall in output accelerated again. Capability utilisation also fell y-o-y for the 18th week in a row and the rate of fall for this performance measure also increased again following a brief slowdown the previous week.
