US plate producers want duty suspension agreement with Russia terminated
US steelmakers Nucor, SSAB Americas and ArcelorMittal USA are asking the US Department of Commerce (DOC) to end a duty suspension agreement on cut-to-length (CTL) plate imports from Russia. The agreement, in place since 2003, suspends antidumping duties and places limits on the amount of the product that can be imported into the US, Kallanish notes.
