US monthly steel imports dip in February but still soar year-to-date
The US imported 3,584,000 net tons (nt) of steel in February, or -18.4% less than indicated by January’s final data according to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). The institute, which bases its figures on preliminary Census Bureau data, says that import market share however continues to increase.
