US mill shipments show monthly and on-year declines
After rising in June, US mill shipments fell back in July, and continue to lag 2014 shipments, according to the latest American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) data sent to Kallanish.
US mills shipped 7,591,897 net tons of steel during the month of July. This was a -2.1% decline from the 7,758,087nt shipped in June, and a -10.6% decline from the 8,492,744nt shipped in July 2014.
