US mill shipments rise in June, but still below year-ago
While shipments from US mills rose from the prior month, June shipments were still below year-ago levels, according to the latest American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) data.
US mills shipped 7,758,987 net tons of steel in June, AISI reports. This was up 8.1% over May’s shipments of 7,175,211nt, but down 6.4% from the 8,291,823nt shipped in June 2014.
