US imports dip month-on-month in November, trade actions biting?
The US imported 3,635,000 net tons (nt) of steel in November, or 18.2%% less than in October this year, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), which bases its figures on preliminary Census Bureau data. The month-on-month slowdown is a possible indication that recent trade injury decisions by the US government are now beginning to affect import volumes.
