US Steel's flat rolled segment hit hard in Q1
US Steel’s flat rolled segment posted a Q1 loss of $67m, down significantly from Q4 2014 earnings of $247m and Q1 2014 earnings of $85m. This was due to both lower shipments, including intersegment shipments to the tubular segment, and lower average realised prices.
