US Steel announces flat rolled price increase
US Steel is raising flat-rolled steel prices by $40/ton, effective immediately.
The steelmaker says the base price increase is effective immediately for all new spot orders, according to a 7 July letter sent to its North American sales organisation and seen by Kallanish.
The letter says “… it is imperative that the minimum spot base prices be met” in negotiations with spot market customers.
