US Steel looks to curb operations at tube plants
US Steel Corporation will temporarily adjust operations at three of its plants involved in or connected with steel tube production, the steelmaker says in a statement sent to Kallanish. It has advised 1,918 represented employees in the three locations of the upcoming adjustment, it adds and these are being issued notices under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) act.
