US Steel halts investments in Minnesota, Indiana
US Steel Corporation says that it is implementing some strategic actions to "...support its transformation and to strengthen the company..." In a statement sent to Kallanish, the steelmaker says that it will not proceed with investments at its Keetac, Minnesota iron ore facility or its Gary, Indiana coke replacement project.
