US Steel agrees to pay $58m to settle claims of alleged price control
US Steel has agreed to pay $58 million to settle a claim that relates to allegations that along with other steelmakers, the US group had colluded to inflate steel prices in the USA.
The companies that took the case before a US federal court in Illinois are Standard Iron Works, Wilmington Steel Processing, Capow, Alco Industries, Rem Systems and Gulf Stream Builders Supply.
