Turkish scrap imports plummet in Dec, narrower scrap-rebar spread squeezes mill margins
Turkish imports of scrap declined -32% year-on-year in December to 1.29 million tonnes, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data. The average price of these imports was $336/tonne cfr Turkey, down from $380.
