Turkish scrap imports down in Jan-Nov, but sourcing from CIS surges
Turkish imports of scrap inched down -0.3% year-on-year in January-November 2014 to 17.78 million tonnes, and were -1.1% lower in value at $6.72 billion. The average price in the period was thus $378/tonne, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD).
