Turkish rebar exports, price drop steeply in November, but UAE and US buying surges
Turkish rebar exports declined 26% year-on-year in November to 510,474 tonnes, as political instability in Iraq, Libya and Yemen, as well as competition with iron-based producers, hampered buying.
The average price of exports that month was $534/tonne fob, down from $571/t in the corresponding month of 2013, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
