Turkish rebar exports surge 16% in February as prices plummet $99/t
Turkish rebar exports reported an encouraging 16% year-on-year increase in February to 806,833 tonnes, as their competitiveness was boosted by the steep slump in scrap prices that month. Their average price, however, plummeted $99/tonne from the previous February to $478/t fob, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
