Turkish iron ore imports surge y/y in March as scrap imports fall
Turkish iron ore imports surged as seaborne prices fell in March while scrap imports dipped, Kallanish learns from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Turkish iron ore imports grew 56% year-on-year in March to 827,657 tonnes. The average import price of iron ore, however, plunged to $95/tonne from $147/t a year ago, TUIK statistics show.
