Turkish flat steel service centre commissions CR mill
Turkish flat steel service centre Gazi Metal has commissioned its new 350,000 tonnes/year cold rolling mill, thereby eliminating the need to import CRC, a company executive tells Kallanish.
The firm previously bought CRC on the merchant market for processing at its cut-to-length (CTL) and slitting lines to service the automotive, white goods and home furniture sectors. It sources hot rolled coil feedstock from Erdemir, as well as Russia and the EU.
