Turkey raises bar and rod import duties to curtail increasing China-origin imports

Turkey has increased substantially duties on imports of rebar and wire rod, with effect from 18 October, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD). Carbon steel bar/rebar imports are now levied with a 30-40% tariff, up from 15%.
