Trinecke posts strong 2014 rod sales, sees 2015 Czech steel recovery
Wire rod remained Trinecke Zelezarny (TZ)’s best-selling product in 2014, with deliveries reaching 815,400 tonnes. Bar and section sales amounted to 570,000t last year, supported by a new peeling and final treatment line.
Crude steel production in 2014 totalled 2.54 million tonnes, of which two-thirds was allocated to finished products for export. Revenue grew 7% on-year to CZK 38 billion ($1.55 billion), while profit was CZK 3.05 billion.
