Teck implements interim shutdowns at Canadian met coal ops
In order to align production and inventories with changing conditions in the coal market, Teck Resources is implementing temporary shutdowns at its six steelmaking coal operations in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.
“Rather than push incremental tonnes into an over-supplied market, we are taking a disciplined approach to managing our mine production in line with market conditions”, says president and ceo Don Lindsay.
