Teck Resources could reduce coal production further in Q4
Canadian met coal miner Teck Resources may reduce coal production even further in the fourth quarter if market conditions do not improve, the company said this week.
In June, the company implemented three-week interim shutdowns at its six steelmaking coal operations in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada (see Kallanish 29 May). Because of this, the miner has reduced its expected 2015 coal production to 25-26 million tonnes.
