Steel mill shipments dip sharply month-on-month in US in November
The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reports that for the month of November 2014, US mills shipped 7,638,086 net tons of steel, Kallanish notes.
This is a -10.2% decrease on the 8,508,477nt shipped in October 2014, and a 0.4% increase on the 7,604,428nt shipped in November 2013. Shipments year-to-date in 2014 are 90,270,336nt, a 2.8% increase on 2013 shipments of 87,790,788nt for eleven months, AISI confirms.
