Steel holds, iron ore slides as crude steel output slows
Chinese steel futures prices held steady on Friday on signs that steelmakers were finally beginning to reduce output. Iron ore prices continued to slide however and the positive news for steel prices only adds to the pressure of iron ore oversupply, Kallanish notes.
