Special report: Iron ore pushed under $60/t by inventory, environment
Iron ore prices fell below $60/tonne for the first time since 2009 last week after a build-up of inventories over the Chinese new year and an environmental clampdown sent sentiment into a spiral. Prices may not have much further to fall however as these two factor may not have a continuous effect and a decline below $55/t would likely trigger a rethink at major miners.
